STANDARDS ISO PAS99 |
ISO have recognised that organisations do not have time to work on any thing that causes duplication. If the company has several systems that they conform to Quality, Health & Safety, Environment and information Security to mention but four. There is a set of procedures that are almost word for word identical. A typical example of this would be Management Review, Control Documentation, Document Control and Records, Resources, Purchasing, Internal Auditing, Non-conformity, Corrective and Preventive actions. |

Considering the fact
that the above are in each standard and require attention annually then multiply
them up by each other. Oh yeah and then we need to audit them all each year. Time for something radical lets merge all of the common areas together, simplify the system and reduce the amount of duplicated work Once it's complete it begs the question "why did we not do this years ago?" |

| ISO17020 |
A standard exists for the control and monitoring of surveying companies. Typically working on asbestos or legionnaires and taking controlled samples for analysis. The standard is controlled in exactly the same way that ISO have created all of the other principles namely a Plan, Do, Check Act system. |

| ISO17025
|
This standard is for the laboratories that take the above samples and break them down accordingly. Whilst this is a very specialist area the expertise of the organisation can write the method statements and will be audited by UKAS to ensure compliance.
